Leland Turman Jr. departed our life on April 23, 2003 at the age of 23.He was on his way to work at Ford Glass Plant and collided into the Kenosha Street bridge pier on Highway 51 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was driving his two week old Sonic Blue FORD Lightning and lost control of his vehicle after a downpour. The events at the exact time of the accident are unknown, but one thing was certain, everyone’s lives would be changed forever.
How do you even start to describe a handsome man who never met a stranger?Someone who was 6 foot 5, and stood out in the room?Did I mention his impersonations of Michael Jackson, Elvis and others, his hump-hump dance or “Was Up”?Or the way he respected each individual for who they were without partiality to race, gender, or any other factor? This is just the beginning of the description of a wonderful, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.
The memories are endless, and so is the pain. There is a part of everyday that is empty, and a moment of every hour that is darkened by his passing.
And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. - Abraham Lincoln
I'm Free
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God laid for me. I took His hand when I heard Him call I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that place at the end of the day.
If my passing has left a void Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My lifes been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief Don't lengthen it now with undo grief. Lift up your heart and share with me God wanted me, now He set me free!!

Ridin' In Heaven....
A Child that loses a parent is an orphan, A Man who loses his wife is a widower, A Woman who loses her husband is a widow, There is no name for a parent that loses a child, For there is no word to describe the pain!
IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY AND MEMORIES WERE A LANE I WOULD WALK RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN TO BRING YOU HOME AGAIN NO FAREWELL WORDS WERE SPOKEN NO TIME TO SAY GOODBYE YOU WERE GONE BEFORE I KNEW IT AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY MY HEART STILL ACHES WITH SADNESS AND SECRET TEARS STILL FLOW WHAT IT MEANT TO LOSE YOU NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW
The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his information and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he's always doing both.- James A. Michener
